Beaver Creek Fire: Runoff (Sept 2013)

Hearing that the Big Wood River was running dark after last night's rains, I went to the confluence with the Warm Springs Creek to see which was the offender. I won't be drinking out of the Warms Springs any time soon. The smell of ash was overwhelming. Sept 3, 2013.

While I do believe that wildfires are a natural and integral part of our ecosystem, I will say that I found it depressing to see how many dead fish are washing up on the shore beneath this confluence. Ranging from 2" to 14", these victims were found every 8-or-so feet in the shallows.
